Sage Attends Greater Boston's Middle School Model UN Conference
On Saturday, November 22, twenty-eight Sage students in The Sage School Model UN Club attended the United Nations Association of Greater Boston’s Middle School Model UN conference at Northeastern University. Over 400 students from around Boston also participated. These conferences empower students to develop valuable skills such as global awareness, research, debate, negotiation, and public speaking. Representing Syria, the Russian Federation, and South Africa, Sage students debated such topics as gender equity, child refugees, water and sanitation, and other issues. All participants stretched themselves to speak, problem-solve, negotiate, and debate, and each grew in self-confidence and global awareness.
Several students were recognized for their skills in public speaking, writing, and negotiating. These students are:
