Annual Giving

DSC_0928What is The Annual Giving Fund?

Peer into any classroom, visit the playground, or take a look into our computer lab and you will witness two types of gifts that allow Sage to thrive: capital gifts and gifts to The Annual Fund. Both help reduce Sage’s dependence on tuition to sustain its top-caliber teaching and variety of clubs, learning environments, and activities that define Sage. While capital gifts are a large part of planning for our future and also provide for consistent mission-critical building projects, The Annual Fund focuses on present needs and opportunities.

The Annual Fund provides unrestricted, immediate funds that permit Sage to respond to particular needs that arise each year. Whether it is greater financial aid to support a student in need or sustainable increases in salaries to better attract and retain Sage’s lifeblood – its extraordinary faculty – The Annual Fund provides the necessary margin for Sage’s innovative growth.

Why does Sage need gifts?

  • To make Sage affordable to as many families as possible, tuition only covers part of what it costs to provide a full Sage education. The remainder is made up through tax-deductible gifts to The Annual Fund.
  • Without the generous support of parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends, Sage would need to charge an average of over $2,750 more per student.

Does my gift make a difference?

  • Absolutely. Whether you are able to donate $5, $50, $5,000 or $5,000,000, your gift combined with the hundreds of others from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends will increase Sage’s ability to meet the needs of students and teachers and to uphold its high academic standards every year.
