The Great Coin Race 2013

For the third year in a row, Sage participated in “The Great Coin Race,” a special community service program by Kids to Kids/World Connect. The school is divided into two Sage teams that ‘race’ by collecting change to raise money for a project that the Service at Sage Committee has chosen in El Salvador called Broadening Horizons. This project aims to increase the interest in and access to unique educational experiences for youth by organizing an activity day (led by Peace Corps Volunteers) for youth introducing science experiments, arts and crafts and teamwork building activities and by training local teachers and youth outreach volunteers to lead these activities and incorporate them into schools on a permanent basis. Collectively, Sage raised $1228.58 for Kids to Kids World Connect.

World Connect is thrilled that we are participating again and has even highlighted Sage on their website. Check it out at http://www.worldconnect-us.org/kidsconnect/sage-school-great-coin-race-2012/

We thank you for your support and go Sage!
