Sage’s Model UN Club at Boston University Academy

On Saturday, February 2, and Sunday, February 3, eleven Sage Middle School students participated in the Boston University Academy Model UN conference. These eleven students simulated such committees as the United Nations’ Disarmament and Security Committee and an East-Asia Joint Crisis Committee. Of these eleven students, six earned awards for their preparation and exemplary participation. Sage students won three of the ten Best Delegate awards, and these prestigious awards went to Jordan D. for his participation in the Disarmament and Security Committee, to Kyle Z. representing China on the Joint Crisis Committee, and Noah P. representing Taiwan (and/or China) also on the Joint Crisis Committee. Three other Sage students received honorable mentions: Sami A., Nate S., and Seamus C. This conference was particularly rewarding because the conference was led by many former Sage students who now attend Boston University Academy. Former Sagers Jason S., Rohit C., and Bary L. chaired three of the ten committees, and Owen G, Sophia L., and Saloni J. were key organizers as well. We are so proud of both our current and former Sage students in their work in international problem-solving!
