The Great Coin Race

From March 30-April 20, Sage participated in “The Great Coin Race,” a special community service program by Kids to Kids/World Connect. This year, The Sage School selected a Kids to Kids project in Peru called “Camp JUMP: Camp for Motivated Youth United for Progress.” Sage students and teachers “raced” by collecting spare change to travel the 3,758 miles from Foxboro to Ancash, Peru. Each mile was 25 cents with a goal of $940. Representing The Sage School’s colors, the Green Team collected $642.84 while the Blue Team collected $535.85. Kids to Kids/World Connect was astonished and thrilled to accept a grand total of $1178.69 from Sage. The school is hoping that some Sage students will be able to Skype with the camp participants when it opens in June.
